Shane is calling it CJ's "6 monthsies." He even lit a candle in Carter's rice cereal and snapped a picture. Today is Carter's 6 month-iversary, or in other words, his very first half birthday. We are big on celebrating anything we can justify, and half birthdays are therefore quite a big occasion in this house. Why not celebrate as much as possible?! So today we celebrated Carter's half birthday. Six months is a big milestone for babies, especially adopted babies. Now that Carter is 6 months old, we can offically finalize his adoption and have him sealed to us forever! We are looking forward to that happening next week in Utah. We feel like we've had him forever and are so grateful for him today! Happy 6 monthsies baby boy!

"Do you bite your thumb at me sir?" -Romeo & Juliet
The first picture is the best we've managed to get so far to show how Carter sucks his thumb. He nibbles on the end of it like he's biting his thumb nail. It's so cute! The other picture is just cute too -- it shows how he often holds one hand in to suck on with his other hand.

BFF (Best Friends Forever)!!!
Brad and Carter are getting to be the best of buddies, as evidenced here by Brad's generosity. One day, we left Carter at Brad's house while we went house hunting. This is what we came home to. Brad was kind enough to share his old baby clothes with the latest "Master H" to join the family. Carter is modeling the "adjustable velcro crotch" outfit (this picture doesn't do it justice -- you should have seen those thighs in real life squeezing out of that thing)!!

Generosity
So it all started when I mentioned to my friend Aubrey that we were looking for a high chair at garage sales so that we could feed Carter solids. We'd looked into buying one and were shocked (as we've been many times before when shopping for baby necessities) at the prices. She said she'd ask her aunt Bonnie if she knew of anyone in this areas getting rid of a highchair. Long story short -- Aubrey's aunt dropped off a brand new high chair in the box saying it was from an annonymous donor. We feel so blessed in so many ways. We are sending a great big thank you out to the world tonight!
