"We wait for things which, at the time, may appear so right, and so good to us, that we can't possibly imagine why Heavenly Father would delay the answer."
Waiting is one of the most difficult parts of the adoption process. Some great counsel on waiting, and learning patience in the process, is available in this talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
The audio for the talk is available here. (Right click and select "Save Target As" to download the mp3. Put it on your iPod!)

Shane forgot to add that when we picked up our prints at the local pharmacy, the guy who printed our pictures asked if we were trying to make out child look like an alcoholic in this picture... we were confused at first but finally figured out he was asking about this picture. Shane said, "no, not at all, we just wanted to show how much he eats." The guy just laughed all goofy and thought it was so funny. hmmm...weird. so, no, we were not trying to make Carter look like an alcoholic! (in case you were wondering)
Hey Megan and Shane,
You know Michael and his sense of humor. He said to remember that what goes in must come out. Not only lots of formula, but lots of diapers too?
Love you both!!!
