Hi All! I know, it took me forever to finally update the blog. So sorry. I'm still working on it. I was just really surprised how many of you wrote notes or called to say you were waiting for new pictures! I can't blame you , I mean I know that Carter is pretty adorable, but I'm also his mother! Anyway, hopefully the big batch I updated will satisfy the fans for now.
We had a great time in Utah for our quick surprise Thanksgiving trip. We are so glad now that we made the effort to go because it's official that we are no longer going to be going to Utah for Christmas as originally planned. Instead, we will be going to Rocky Point, Mexico for Christmas with Joe & Claudia & crew and Kent & Karen & girls. Fot those of you who don't know, Joe & Kent are Shane's uncles. Joe & Claudia are the original Arizona H's who've kindly taken us in since we moved here. I'm not gonna lie, we are SUPER excited about going to Mexico. We sure will miss all you Utahns, but no worries, we'll be back in the first week of February for the adoption finalization and Carter's sealing. That's less than two months away. And if you just can't wait until then to see Carter in person again, you of course are invited to make a trip to visit us in the meantime!
Carter is 4 1/2 months old now. His latest developmental milestones include rolling from back to front all by himself, beginning to try to scoot, putting himself to sleep for naps (no more rocking to sleep), and starting solids (just rice cereal so far, but he LOVES it!). We captured the official first roll on video, but haven't figured out how to post video on the blog yet, so please let us know if you have those skills and are willing to share. Carter is also making the cutest sounds as he discovers all that his mouth and voice are capable of. He especially loves making smacking, smoochy sounds with his mouth and tongue. It's SO cute!
Okay, well, we hope you all are happy and healthy going into this Christmas season. Hugs and love to you all!

I'm not very savvy with the blog add-ons, but I know someone that got google video to host their video, and they just posted a link to it on their blog. Maybe that will be easier to figure out.
