Have you ever played "Go Fish?" Well, I have, and the phrase, "I got what I asked for" comes to mind. One week from the day that we moved into the ward, I received a calling to be the ward girls camp director. This was quite an overwhlming calling, but when a friend reminded me that I had told her I would love to work with the young women, and that it would especially be fun to go to girls camp, I realized I got exactly what I asked for! The stressful thing was, I only had about 6 weeks to prepare. It was hard, especially not knowing many people going into it, especially not really knowing the girls, and ESPECIALLY not having hygiene in my life (in addition to baby wipes anyway) for 5 days!!! That being said, it was a really great opportunity for me, and overall, I would have to say I really enjoyed it! What great girls!

Girls Camp 2006
