Oh, and by the way, Shane ran the Ostrich Festival 5K last weekend and came in 2nd place in the men's division and 3rd over all! Hooray! Good job, Babe!

"We wait for things which, at the time, may appear so right, and so good to us, that we can't possibly imagine why Heavenly Father would delay the answer."
Waiting is one of the most difficult parts of the adoption process. Some great counsel on waiting, and learning patience in the process, is available in this talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

Congrats Shane! That's awesome. That looks like such a fun festival.
I would love to see Camel's racing. That's funny. Congrats to Shane too.. that's awesome he came in 2nd.
I had no idea that something like this even existed! This looks like something that would be fun to go to! Do they have one in Utah??
Shannon - They do it every year in Chandler the way they do Onion Days in Payson, UT and Strawberry Days in Pleasant Grove (I think it's in PG). I guess they used to raise ostriches in Chandler long ago, so that's where it came from.
Can Brandon and I come next year?? That would be so much fun!! They have a Llama fest in Utah, did you ever go? Brandon won 4th place in llama racing - yes he literally raced a llama. Props to Shane for his real race though, way to go!!
Um...of course! We would love anyone to come visit us! (And Mr. and Mrs. Baum, imagine the fun we could have like in the good old days when we were neighbors!) The ostrich festival falls at the best time of the year to come to AZ...when everyone in Utah is sick of the winter and it's 70-80 degrees here during the day!
And by the way, no, we never did make it to the llama festival. A crying shame. Never say never, though, we are back in Utah at least a couple times a year!
