Grilled Pizza

We discovered a new favorite thing to make for dinner. We were enjoying our first visit to the new fresh & easy market by our house and found bags of prepared whole wheat pizza dough for $1.18!! We took it home and made pizza in the oven that night using homemade sauce, spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella. It was fabulous! Here is the before shot as we were putting it into the oven:That was last Wednesday.

Then, when we were checking in our friends' blogs, we saw that Russ and Nicole made their own homemade pizza recently, and made it on the grill! We checked out the link from their pizza post to Lost Button Studio's grilled pizza post and decided to give it a try... but to save time by using more fresh & easy dough, of course. The results were magnificent. We might have had it two nights in a row for dinner this week already and again for lunch because there were leftovers. That's how good it was. Grilled pizza pictures:I can't wait to get to Utah next week to try this with fresh tomatoes straight from the garden! Oh my watering mouth...

And CJ loved it too, every time. He is so cute! He was thrilled to get to go out on the patio to help Shane "cook a peesa" on the grill. He then insisted on eating his pizza at the patio table, despite the 106 degree heat at 6 pm. Shane agreed to stay out with him, but he really wanted me to be there too. I was dizzy in the heat, so what did I do? I sat on the other side of the glass sliding door where he could see and hear me while I sat inside and ate my delicious pizza. He kept yelling, "Mom!" I would yell back, "What, Buddy?" He would yell back, "Mmm yum!" or "Momma! Pizza! Wish-iss!" Wish-iss is how he says delicious.

I'm glad you guys tried out the grilled pizza. I try to get everyone to try it. It is so yummy and no more hot kitchen. I will say, the spinach and tomatoes look so good. I'm going to have to try that once our tomatoes are ripe. Keep those cute pictures are Carter coming. Hopefully a second baby will be coming your way soon. Jared (Russ's Brother) and his wife are just waiting to get to their second anniversary so they can start the adoption process. If you have any advise, or up lifting words, please share.

We tried this last week. But we put ours on a pizza stone on the grill. So good! A lady in my moms ward did a whole enrichment on BBQing pizza. Great idea especially down in AZ!

Hey Megan it is Becky. Your family is so cute, and of course you are still cooking good stuff. My sister just moved to Sierra Vista. She is adjusting to the weather but says it is fun. I hope things are going good they look like it.
