I was fortunate to be able to plan and go on a trip to Texas to meet up with my wonderful friends I lived with in the dorms my freshman year at BYU. Alycia and Cynthia both live in the Dallas area, so Emily, Katie, and I all flew in over the weekend.
Emily and I both arrived Friday afternoon. For dinner that night, Alycia and Cynthia took us to a local place called Babe's Chicken Dinner House that people wait literally hours to get into. We were told our wait would be an hour and 40 minutes, but we were glad to get inside in less than an hour. People were just hanging out all around the building and across the street. They had brought their own beer in coolers for while they waited. It had a fun atmosphere and I really started to feel like I was in Texas once we were there! We ate delicious, bottomless, down-home fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and biscuits until we thought we might pop!
I only got a couple of pictures that night, but you can see the outside of Babe's in the first one.
