Chihuly

Today Carter and I got to tag along with Aunt Claudia, her sister Kay, her sister-in-law Anne, and Anne's baby Mitch (Carter loved Mitch!) to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Carter was a little bummed when we kept driving passed the zoo to get there, but he seemed to think the glass sculptures were cool. He kept telling us to be careful of the pokey glass. I really enjoyed getting out of the house and working on my farmer's tan! It was almost too warm!

We also had a nice lunch and then got to go visit Kay's house. Her backyard is full of fun kid stuff, including a play house, a sand box, and a mini ride-on train that actually works. Carter loved the train the best, and I was thrilled to get to pick and take home a bag of lemons!
