For Family Home Evening last night, we let Carter scribble on valentines for his cousins and friends. He picked out the Tonka truck valentines himself. We would hand him one and say, "This one is for so-and-so." He would take it from us, saying, "Thaaaaank you!" while he scribbled on it and then he would hand it back and say, "Here go." It was as if he was doing a book signing or signing autographs for fans! He seriously did this over and over again, repeating the exact same thing for each one, only interjecting to repeat the person's name sometimes after we told him who it was for.
We are planning on visiting the birth parent group at our local agency the week of Valentine's Day to deliver cookies and valentines to them to let them know they are loved. In addition to scribbling each valentine tonight, Carter also colored and put stickers on about a dozen cards we made for the birth parents in group. He had a blast and they turned out super cute! I hope they love them!
